Fight Crime: Invest in Kids Supports Home Visiting and Nurse-Family Partnership
The Louisiana Home Visiting Campaign, a project of the Louisiana Partnership for Children and Families, is working to increase statewide access to Nurse-Family Partnership® (NFP). NFP is a voluntary, nurse home visiting program that serves first-time mothers below 200% of the federal poverty level. This nationally-recognized, evidence-based community health program is proven to save states money, when properly funded, by increasing women's education and employment, reducing the use of welfare and food stamps, reducing childhood injuries, increasing children's school readiness, and achieving other positive outcomes for children and families.
Outcomes shown above are findings from one or more randomized controlled trials. Statistics ©2010 Nurse-Family Partnership. All rights reserved.
